Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Pep Guardiola has reportedly identified three defensive targets ahead of the next transfer window.
Manchester City’s underwhelming 2019/20 Premier League campaign laid bare the defensive frailties in Pep Guardiola’s squad. As lethal as Manchester City are going forward, they are porous at the back.
Pep Guardiola is ready to raid the transfer market in a bid to put Manchester City back on top of the Premier League after failing to keep pace with Jurgen Klopp’s relentless Liverpool this season, seeing the Reds streak to the title with seven games to spare.
According to The Times, Guardiola has shortlisted Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly (29), Villarreal’s Spain international Pau Torres (23) and Benfica and Portugal international Ruben Dias (23) as he looks to revamp his defence.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions

Fear he might end up being Stones 2.0— Jonathan Yeo (@KingJon01) July 3, 2020
“Dias due to his age would be perfect or koulibaly he is strong and proven performer”, claimed one fan.
while another asked, “Is Pau Torres good ? And how much do you think he would cost ?”
Another tweet said:”Pau Torres is what stones could have been, ruben dias plays like early otamendi, he goes to the ground too much and koulibaly seems overrated and definitely not worth 90m especially at 29. If i had to pick anyone there i would pick torres.”
Another fan tweet said: “Koulibaly is the best option but he’s 29 and overpriced. Torres isn’t greatly better than Eric Garcia. Ruben Dias it is for me, Solid, Tall, Fast and very technical. Averagely expensive too.”
