Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports suggesting that the club have step up their efforts to sign highly-rated Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
While many quality strikers have been touted by City, none have been linked as much as Argentine Martinez, who was enjoying a brilliant season in Serie A with a record of a goal every two games.
The 22-year-old Argentine national team striker, who has a release clause worth £81m have been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona for a long time.
Manchester City are understood to deem the 22-year-old as the ideal heir for ageing compatriot Sergio Aguero, whose contract is due to expire at the end of next season.
The Sun claims that Pep Guardiola has failed in his efforts to prize Harry Kane away from Tottenham Hotspur and is growing increasingly desperate to sign a long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero.
So alternatively they are focusing on Martinez as the ideal replacement for his compatriot, and will step up their efforts to sign the Inter Milan striker.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
