Manchester City fans have urged Pep Guardiola and the club to cash in on Eric Garcia and replace him with Tosin Adarabioyo after learning that the young defender does not want to sign a new contract.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that centre-back Garcia does not want to extend his contract, and wants to “play in other places.”
In his press conference before City faced Real Madrid, Guardiola said:
“He announced to us he doesn’t want to extend his contract with City. He has one more year and then after that, he doesn’t want to extend. We wanted to but he doesn’t want to. We imagine he wants to play in another place.”
Now, with the news that Garcia could leave on a free next summer, Man City fans have told the club to sell him during this transfer window and focus on the players that are under contract at the Etihad.
Among them is 22-year-old Anglo-Nigerian Tosin Adarabioyo, who has impressed this season during his time at Blackburn Rovers with 35 appearances while scoring three goals and providing one assist.
The Nigerian center back returned to his parent club following the end of his loan spell at EFL Championship club Blackburn Rovers which was originally due to run out at the end of last month.

“Give chance to the young ones who wanna be with us for long like Tosin…other guys just make a proper use of our academy and then goes for free to another club,” claimed one fan.
while another tweeted, “Come on you should people some passes and make them think he’s ready? How about you show some of the goals they have allowed where Tosin was in poor positioning and reacting slowly. Even though he’s a decent passer he’s got pretty poor composure against high press.”
