Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of Barcelona‘s interest in signing Bernardo Silva this summer.
French media outlet Le10Sport had claims that the Portugal international, who is under contract until 2025 at the Etihad is a top target for the Blaugrana, who see him as a “footballer with proven quality.”
According to the Telegraph, Barcelona have stepped up their pursuit of Bernardo Silva and will try to tempt him to the Nou Camp by making him a key part of the team.
The report adds The Spanish side will make an offer including players in a swap deal, with City long-term admirers of right-back Nelson Semedo.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra and City Chief, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Tbh I wouldn’t even mind at this point he’s regressed so much he’s so frustrating as much as I hate to say it he’s too predictable and he’s just constantly playing side ways passes— McfcUmair_ (@McfcUmair10_) August 8, 2020
What do they want now… already spent £105m on Dembele then £120m on Coutinho, Paco Alcaçer £60m and Greizmann for £130m leave @ManCitys Bernardo Alone! 🤚🏻— Jason O Sheikh (@GiftedGabriel9) August 8, 2020
“Few hours ago same reporter said Pep first choice for juve then Poch. Literally making stuff up,” claimed one fan.
While another asked: “Who on earth could they swap apart from Frankie?”
A fan responded: “I think de Jong plus lenget plus cash will be a great deal for City. For people who’re saying it’s fake, no mates it’s a possibility because Covid-19 has struck Barca real hard and in an interview Bartomeu said that Barca need to sell around 16 players this season.”
while another tweeted: “Always “offers to swap players” when Barca want someone these days.” Lads, no one wants Dembele, Rakitic, Lenglet and Sergi Roberto for free.” Certainly not swapping Bernardo for your overpaid wasters. They’ve not got a pot to piss in.”
