Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Liverpool have been handed a golden opportunity on the opening day of the Premier League season.
The Premier League fixture list for 2020/21 was released in full for all clubs on Thursday champions Liverpool to face newly-promoted Leeds United on the opening weekend
The scheduled start of the campaign at the Etihad Stadium against Aston Villa is set to be postponed, meaning the first games will be away matches against Wolves and Leeds United either side of the hosting of Leicester City. Manchester United’s contest with Burnley has also suffered the same fate.
That can certainly be considered to be a challenging start for City, who are looking to reclaim their Premier League title from Liverpool following a disappointing campaign last term.
According to Liverpool Echo news, with Man City and Man United’s game on matchweek one postponed due to their exploits in Europe, the Red have the chance to put distance between themselves and two of their closest title rivals in the first week of the new Premier League season.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions
