Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that Lyon’s technical director Juninho says midfielder Houssem Aouar is set to leave the Ligue 1 side this summer.
The France international Aouar has long been linked with City ever since Pep Guardiola publicly praised him following the Blues’ Champions League group stage meetings last summer.
The 22-year-old, Who has been very impressive for Lyon over the last two seasons has been tracked by the Citizens for 18 months, but they have not had any discussions with Lyon about signing him so far this summer.
According to GFFN, Sporting Director Juninho says Lyon would see summer departures after the Ligue 1 side missed out on an all French Champions’ League final with PSG, losing 3-0 to Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
“There will be departures, but I am not worried. When you have players who play very well in a competition like this, like Moussa (Dembélé) and Houssem (Aouar)… ” Juninho told RMC Sport.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions with many begging for the club to sign the French midfield star.

Ya but if we get rid of gundo it would make sense maybe a swap deal + 10 million would be good— Abdullah (@Abdulla44761295) August 19, 2020
No one thinks we are fine in midfield, gundogan is loosing us games while bernardo is on the bench, why tf does he play every big game? Our defence was’nt that bad this year it’s just gundogan and dhino not being good enough.— 🇱🇧 (@michelachkar102) August 19, 2020

WOULD AOUAR BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR CITY?
The 22-year-old Frenchman possesses all the attributes the Spanish manager is looking for in his well-stacked midfield.
In addition to sophisticated technical abilities and passing skills, Aouar is also comfortable cutting into the channels and scoring from distance.
Although many Man City fans will be calling for a further progression of Phil Foden next season, a more experienced name may be required to fill the gap left by David Silva.
