Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.
Despite the £41m capture of Ake from Bournemouth already this summer, defenders remain the priority but deals for both a left-back and a second centre half – most likely Napoli‘s Koulibaly – are still some way off.
The Sunday Mirror via Daily Express reported earlier today that City have ruled themselves out of making a move for Kalidou Koulibaly as they cannot justify paying £90million.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Illustrated, Napoli are willing to let Kalidou Koulibaly leave but unwilling to let go of their star defender for less than the €100M requested Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The report adds that both Manchester clubs continue to ‘follow’ the defender, but will only ‘move decisively’ if his valuation drops below €70M.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra and City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Sign Diego Carlos! Koulibaly has lost it.— Gaúcho (@YungHusband_) August 10, 2020
Tomorrow the valuation is gonna be €110m, the Italian press just seem to be making it up as they go along— ͏Finlay🏴🏴 (@MCFCFininho) August 10, 2020
Imagine buying him for that much after a disastrous performance and a bad season.— Vvk (@vvk_blc) August 10, 2020
Lol no. United can have him. He’ll slot in quite nicely with Maguire as the most overpaid duo since Pogba and his agent.— jay laruja (@larujajay) August 10, 2020
Whether Koulibaly is happening or not, I hope this is the last time we doing business with ADL— Dann (@dannmcfc) August 10, 2020
