Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is set to send Yan Couto on loan to Girona FC this season.
City signed the Brazilian from Coritiba earlier this year, beating Bayern Munich and Barcelona to his signature.
Yan Couto says a personal guarantee of first team football from Pep Guardiola persuaded him to change his mind from joining Barcelona and sign for Manchester City.
According to Catalonian newspaper L’Esportiu,Young Brazilian right-back, who has been often compared to Brazilian legend Dani Alves is set to join Girona on loan for the 2020/21 season.
Manchester City have an abundance of talent spending next season away from the club on loan hoping to continue their development in order to fight for a place in Pep Guardiola’s first-team.
It’s fair to say that once a player is loaned out by Manchester City, it’s an awful long and arduous road towards the first team at the Etihad.

Disappointed. At some point these kids have to be put in the first team. This was one player I was genuinely excited about.— Ctg2010 (@Ctg20102) September 15, 2020
“Well not bad wish him luck, and hopefully he would get a chance in first team” replied one fan.
Another asked: “Will he ever get a chance?”
“Any player that goes out on loan just becomes FFP fodder for sale. Only the players they really rate, Foden, Garcia don’t get sent on loan,” wrote a fellow Citizens.
Another fan wrote on Twitter: “Good to go out on loan but bad loan move. Girona are in the 2nd division of Spanish Football. We should try and loan our players to better clubs”
While another furious fan said: “We’ve absolutely duped this kid into signing, we’re a disgrace. They even had pep call him so he’d sign ffs. The kid was all excited for pre season so pep could see him and he’s been shipped off before pep could even be arsed to turn up to pre season. ”
