Liverpool have finally completed the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich. The signing will cost around £30 million after the easy-to-obtain add-ons are fulfilled by the player and club.
Pep Guardiola had no interest in signing Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich because he believes Manchester City are well enough stocked in central midfield.
Speaking ahead of City’s season opener at Wolves on Monday, Guardiola told reporters: “We have enough players in this position. I am happy that Thiago comes to England because England is going to enjoy a really good player. Phil [Foden] can play in that position, striker as well and wingers…”

Agreed,Foden has to get his chance,in Aouer its just greed from us the fans,if nobody is leaving why take Aouer, more pressing positions are Foward and CB…i feel Ake Cancello and Mendy might be deemed enough for LB

He f*cken has alot of pride😠 Thaigo is better than anyone we have in that position and he carries with him Champions league experience which we need. Aguero will be injured and we’ll be f*cked again.

Direct swap with Gundogan would have been the biggest W Man City could have taken

Why couldn’t we ship gundogan out and sign thiago??? Liverpool are doing the same thing. They are selling wijnaldum. What was so wrong in that? Gundogan never lived up the hype we signed him for even when he was injured. Why don’t we get the best from these players?
