Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports suggesting that the club is expected to be invited to the new European Premier League.
The European Premier League is a proposed top-level competition that will involve a host of the biggest clubs from England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Liverpool and Manchester United are leading the ambitious £4.6bn plan, But their bid, backed by the rest of the Big Six, was left in disarray after it was rejected by the rest of the clubs in the Premier League.
According to Sky Sports, Financiers are assembling a $6 billion (£4.6 billion) funding package to assist the creation of what could become known as the European Premier League.
The report adds that a handful of English sides have been approached about joining the European Premier League, with the other candidates comprising Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
If the discussions are successfully concluded, the European Premier League would effectively usurp UEFA’s Champions League competition, which has been a mainstay of the continent’s football calendar for decades.

Need to consult the fans – this is not something I want City involved in.

Typical selfish action being proposed by United and Livarpool who basically don’t give a toss about anybody else except themselves. Corrupt FIFA happy to join in. 🤬🤬🤬

When will they find the time? PL clubs always complaining about over crowded fixture lists. And do they think Covid is going to stop?Like the cold and flu, it’s with us forever.
I quite like the idea, but it’s contentious with lower league teams being in so many problems now.— Bailey @IamBailey2 (@BaileyIamBaile1) October 20, 2020
