Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is confident Pep Guardiola will sign a new deal despite all the rumours.

Guardiola’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire at the end of next season, and there have been suggestions that the Spaniard could walk away from the Citizens at the end of his current deal.

This is already the longest time Guardiola has spent at a single club, with four and three seasons at Barcelona and Bayern respectively.

According to Spanish outlet El Confidencial via Sport Witness, Pep Guardiola’s stay is considered to be more likely, as the Premier League side are ‘confident’ he’ll sign a new deal, despite rumours linking other managers to the job.

The City hierarchy are confident that the 49-year-old will extend his contract at the Etihad. But, chief operating officer, Omar Berrada, had said the club would have to look for Guardiola’s successor if he decides to leave.

The 49-year-old who, signed a three-year deal when taking over in summer 2016 has led City to two Premier League titles, three League Cups and one FA Cup. While Guardiola extended terms for an extra year in May 2018, he insisted a new deal will only be offered if he proves deserving of one this season.
