Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the Citizens could get themselves a €40m bargain in RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano next summer.
City were heavily linked with a move for Upamecano this summer, as Pep Guardiola was in search for a new defender after the problems encountered in the wake of Vincent Kompany’s retirement.
According to Sport BILD via Sport Witness, Dayot Upamecano (21) will be available next year due to a €40M release clause in his contract. Liverpool, City and Manchester United are all named as ‘interested clubs’.
It seems unlikely the Citizens will spend again next year having already paid big money for Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake this summer. Liverpool and Manchester United are the two club who could likely go for the defender.

We will probably replace Stones next summer
— Ali Rahimpour (@alirahimpour89) October 7, 2020
please please,we can’t buy a CB every summer window, we have just signed Diaz who is 23 years old , we have got Ake,Stones and Laporte who are all under 27 years of age , for the next 3 seasons we are not buying an center back 🤣🤣

We still only have 3 reliable centrebacks and Ake might end up covering left back a lot. So it will depend on how Stones does imo.

To be honest I can see Eric Garcia and stones defo leave next year with all the young cbs city have sold, I can see them going in for him, and to be honest I’d like to see city try a back 5 or a back 3 that acc defend and are not always up the pitch

No way we are signing him let’s be realistic
