Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claim Barcelona have submitted a second offer for wantaway Eric García.
The highly-rated 19-year-old centre-back has been at the centre of interest from Barca throughout the summer after Pep Guardiola revealed that he did not want to sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium
According Cadena ser to via Barcacentre, Barcelona have submitted a second offer for Eric García: eight million euros + an additional two in variables. City are asking for 20 million euros.
The report goes on to state that Barcelona know their latest offers isn’t enough to get the signing of García over the line, with City also aware they won’t get 20 million euros for him.
Previous reports had said City wanted around €25m for Garcia, with the defender having a year left on his contract.
City need to sell him this transfer window if they don’t want to risk losing him without receiving any sort of transfer fee. He will be free to negotiate with other clubs come Jan. 2021.
