Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Barcelona are gearing up to make another push to sign Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.
Barca attempted to sign the 19-year-old in the summer but failed to agree a fee with City. The premier league club reportedly rejected Barcelona’s offer of €10 million, plus €8m in add-ons, standing firm on their demand of a total package worth €20 million for the 19-year-old.
However, the Catalans plan to renegotiate with the Sky Blues in the hope of reaching an agreement. The Citizens could be forced to sell Garcia at a reduced fee in January to avoid losing him for free next summer when his contract expires.
According to Sport, Barcelona are willing to pay €8M for Eric Garcia in the January transfer window.
The report adds that Ronald Koeman has requested the young defender personally as Barça look to strengthen the backline.
