Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Barcelona forward Lionel Messi’s potential move to the Etihad.
Many fans will remember the crazy two-week period towards the end of August as City were reportedly in talks to sign Messi with the Argentine star pushing for a move away from Barcelona.
However, the six-times world player of the year eventually decided to stay in Spain for the coming season, the last on his current deal, as he did not want to face a legal battle with the club he joined as a teenager and with whom he has amassed more than 30 major trophies.
The Premier League giants are still favourites to sign wantaway superstar in sensational deal and reunite him with Pep Guardiola.
According Deportes Cuatro, the future of Leo Messi in Barcelona is still in the air as the 33 years has ‘not forgotten’ his idea of leaving Barcelona in June, 2021, and that the Argentina international wants a winning project in order to continue at the La Liga club.
The same report adds that City are ‘willing to close him with a pre-contract’ in the ‘coming weeks’.

He’s basically a false 9 type player, no? Even if he’s not a striker there’s not a chance that we make moves for Messi and another forward. It’ll be one or the other, not both.

Wish we would forget about messi and put all that money and energy into haaland, honestly reckon messi will be a shadow of his former self by the time he gets here
