Manchester City fans have been reacting to footage posted on Twitter, which highlights a stunning solo goal from centre-forward Liam Delap during the side’s 2-2 U23s Premier League 2 meeting with Chelsea on Sunday.
Delap and captain Tommy Doyle score to give City a two-goal lead in the first first half. However, second-half goals from Billy Gilmour and Myles Peart-Harris got Chelsea back on level terms to earn a point.
Despite the disappointment of throwing away a two-goal lead, City fans were encouraged by the teenager’s stunning solo goal.
Delap played a one-two with Adrian Bernabe from the right-hand corner of the pitch to move inside through two defenders and unleash a lovely curling effort into the far corner.
