A few Manchester City supporters have been reacting on social media after Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp called Sunday’s trip to play Manchester City at the Etihad the “most difficult game in the world of football”.
Liverpool and City have dominated the Premier League title race for the last three seasons, but both have shown signs of weakness in the early part of the new campaign.
City have yet to record back-to-back wins in the Premier League this season but Klopp, while dismissive of the suggestion Sunday’s game could have an impact on the title race, insists their threat and quality is undiminished.
“It is important that we have our own plan and not only think about their plan, that we are brave, we play football with all we have and then we have a chance,” said the Liverpool manager.
“But it is very difficult. This is the most difficult game in the world of football I would say, to play against Manchester City.”
Liverpool have lost their past three matches at City, conceding 11 goals in the process, including a 4-0 loss days after being crowned champions for the first time in 30 years. They have not lost four consecutive games there since 1937.

He’s hyping us again. This is how Klopp caresses our ego so we feel on top of the world like we’re high on his supply only for him to turn around and kick us in the butts. I ain’t falling for this. Let’s get on the pitch. All the best, boys. Proudly Cityzen
