Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Pep Guardiola’s contract will now be renewed on a yearly basis.
Guardiola’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire at the end of next season, and there have been suggestions that the Spaniard could walk away from the Citizens at the end of his current deal.
This is already the longest time Guardiola has spent at a single club, with four and three seasons at Barcelona and Bayern respectively.
Speculation over the Catalan’s next move will undoubtedly increase as the end of the contract nears.
According to Sport Witness, Pep Guardiola’s City contract will now be renewed on a yearly basis, with a decision expected to be made in March or April.
Guardiola, 49, took charge at City on an initial three-year deal in 2016 but extended that by a further two seasons in 2018.
While extending his terms at the Etihad, he insisted a new deal will only be offered if he proves deserving of one this season.

Basically, he’s gone if we don’t win a major trophy this season

This is shit. I’d rather let him go than renew just for one year. Can’t plan for future

Every season we gonna have to wonder whether he’s staying or going, no thanks if we want to continue to be consistently competitive then we need a project that looks like it has a long term future. Multi year contract or bring in someone else.

Doesn’t really seem smart. Decision a month before end of season… doesn’t really help summer plans Ect…. guess we don’t do anything the easy way 😂🤷♂️

Just offer him a multi year one, 1 year extensions offer nothing but uncertainty especially when your renewing it at the end of the season

No way, this sounds like a leak to keep the press from asking where does he go next
