Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Eric Garcia’s potential move to Barcelona.
The Spain international Garcia is in the final year of his contract at City and was linked with a switch back to his boyhood club Barcelona during the close season.
Barca attempted to sign the 19-year-old in but failed to agree a fee with City. The premier league club reportedly rejected Barcelona’s offer of €10 million, plus €8m in add-ons, standing firm on their demand of a total package worth €20 million for the 19-year-old.
However, the Catalans plan to renegotiate with the Sky Blues in the hope of reaching an agreement. The Citizens could be forced to sell Garcia at a reduced fee in January to avoid losing him for free next summer when his contract expire.
According to Josep Capdevila via Sport Illustrated, Pep Guardiola’s new two-year contract extension will not influence the future of the wantaway centre back whose current contract expires in the summer of 2021.
Garcia has already confirmed his intentions to leave Man City at the end of the season. The club wanted to give him a new contract, but Guardiola says the defender has turned their offers down.

Thats great news for City, no one wants him here anyway. Not better than Stones, less talented than Harwood-Bellis.

Taking too much time to leave to be honest. Let him go NOW. If is necessary just put him on the deal of Messi 🇦🇷 of City is going in January for him. Atleast will reduce some millions there…..

That’s fine, if he wants to go then he can go. No hard feelings, he has to do what he wants to do don’t blame him one bit

If we’re being honest, 99% of City fans don’t even want him to sign a new deal.
