Arsenal icon Ray Parlour has tipped Manchester City to make a move for Aston Villa midfielder and Captain Jack Grealish.
The 25-year-old featured on City’s list of potential recruits during the last transfer window and he was admired at Etihad, but there were no discussions with Villa during the summer over a deal.
Pep Guardiola, who recently pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract extension at the Etihad Stadium is a big fan of the midfielder, having consistently heaped praise on Grealish throughout the season.
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes Jack Grealish, whose form this season has been remarkable would be a good signing for Manchester City
“At the moment, Villa have done their job by signing him to a long-term contract. So if anyone wants to buy him they are going to have to pay the money, and Villa have got a good investment,” the Arsenal icon said on Friday’s talkSPORT Breakfast.
“But I wouldn’t put it past Man City… someone like Jack Grealish, the way he is playing, the age he is – that would be a good signing for Man City.
“But whether it happens or not, all Jack Grealish is concentrating on at the minute is playing for Aston Villa and doing well for Aston Villa.

The 25-year-old Villa captain sign a new five-year contract in mid-September and has had a brilliant start to the top-flight season. The attacker has four goals and five assists in just seven league games – having managed eight goals and six assists in 36 games last year.
The Villa player is having a fine season in the Premier League, but could be on his way out at this summer with Manchester United reportedly also to be in hot pursuit of the midfielder.
It now remains to be seen if City are prepared to meet Villa’s asking price come the end of the season, with last summer’s £75m valuation sure to increase significantly.
