Some Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Manchester City target Denis Zakaria is ‘keen to move’ on from Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has impressed in his three seasons in the Bundesliga with Gladbach which have caught the eye of several of the top six and is also a regular for the Switzerland national side.
He has long been reportedly touted as a target for Premier League champions Liverpool, while Manchester United and Manchester City have more recently been linked.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently on the latest episode of the ‘Here We Go Podcast’ reported that City are the most serious club who are talking to sign Denis Zakaria next summer.
According to Sky Germany relayed by Inside Futbol, the Swiss midfielder wants a ‘fresh start’ and feels he is ‘ready to play for a bigger club on a bigger stage’.
However, the report adds that any potential transfer is hinging on the player proving his fitness in the second half of the season. His suitors are monitoring his fitness closely and will watch how well he returns to action in the second half of the season.
