Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is in advanced negotiations to sign 17yo Darío Ariel Sarmiento dubbed the ‘mini-Messi’ from Estudiantes.
The 17-year-old only made his debut for the Argentinian club last season but is very highly-rated and has been compared to Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi.
Sarmiento who only has a handful of senior appearances to his name has already got fans out of their seats. Playing on the right wing, with a wand of a left foot, great close control and a penchant for cutting inside, Sarmiento has inevitably been likened to his fellow countryman.
According to El Día via Sport Witness, City Football Group are in advanced negotiations to sign Sarmiento and are prepared to pay more than €20m for his services of the young South Americans.
The reports adds that the transfer is ‘imminent’, with negotiations ‘taking a key step’ and contracts have been sent in order ‘to be analysed by the player’s club’s lawyers’.
If the agreement will be reached, he’d arrive on June 2021 to plan about his future with ‘City group’

I’ve never even heard of him but I can comfortably say he is top 5 wingers itw and is clear of bums like Fati and Sancho

What? He’s not a fringe player, he’s someone we believe that can become a star. Also, teams can sign young players as well as world class players at the same time.

20 m for a 17 year old winger? Unless he’s going straight to the first team (he isn’t 😂) this is a waste lmao CFG signings should not be this expensive since they never make the first team zinchenko was like the only one only cause we had injuries
