Fans of Manchester City have taken to Twitter to react after a stunning stat involving Spanish defensive midfielder Rodrigo Hernández emerged.

Rodri started against West Brom as he continues to be used heavily by Pep Guardiola, who sees the 24-year-old as a ‘key facet’ of his side’s style of play and integral to the Sky Blues’ system.

Rodri’s debut season in that crucial holding midfield role had been difficult but the former Atletico Maldrid man has been a mainstay for City in midfield this season, often one of the first names on the team sheet.

The Spaniard has started all 12 Premier League games this season as well as both Carabao Cup and four out of six Champions League matches.

According to MEN, Rodri became the first outfield player for City to pass 1,500 minutes played this season during the draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Ederson is the only player in the squad to have featured more than him with just one minute longer, while Raheem Sterling is the next most-used player by Guardiola this season.

In reaction to the stat shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions, with many supporters having a mixed opinions on the Spaniard.
