Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is unlikely to allow promising young defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis to leave on loan this month, despite interest from Blackburn and a number of Championship clubs.

Considered to be the future of Manchester City defense, the youngster is one of the brighter talents at the Etihad at the moment and has already made his first-team debut. The 18 year-old Stockport-born defender is a key player for the U23 side, who currently sit third in their respective league table.

A host of Championship sides have been linked with the signing of the 6ft 2in centre-back who has been called an “exceptional” defender by Pep Guardiola.

The Sun on Sunday claim that Bristol City, Preston North End and Blackburn are admirers of the defender, who could be set to leave the Etihad Stadium on loan this month.

The Skysport say the Citizens are ‘unlikely’ to sanction a loan move for Taylor until their personnel situation improves, and that may not be until towards the end of January.

According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester City plan to keep hold of their young players training with the first team rather than sending them out on loan in the January transfer window.

Pep Guardiola is likely to speak over the future of the young defender in the coming days who recently signed a four year contract at the Etihad – a deal that now runs until 2024.

Harwood-Bellis looks to be a real talent with a big future ahead of him, and a loan move away would be beneficial for him.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra and City Chief, Many City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
