Many Man City fans have been slating Benjamin Mendy after the french international admitted to breaking coronavirus rules by throwing a New Year’s Eve dinner party for people outside his household just three days after Covid-19 outbreak put paid to fixture against Everton.
According to the Sun, the French defender last night apologized and accepted he had flouted lockdown restrictions by inviting two friends and a chef to his £5million mansion to see in 2021.
The report adds that Mendy also requested for a modelling agent to send girls from London to visit him in Cheshire. Mendy declared he wanted a “big bum Latina” in one message, however there is no suggestion the agent sent any girls.
The news will infuriate boss Pep Guardiola who earlier this week revealed that his players are given daily reminders to strictly observe the guideline in place.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions. The left-back is now making more headlines for his conduct off the field than his conduct on it, and it’s beginning to wear thin with some supporters.
Time to get rid of this clown. About time he grew up.
