Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Southampton striker Danny Ings has emerged as a potential transfer target, with Pep Guardiola’s men looking to strengthen their attacking options.
The Citizens are expected to be in the market for a new striker at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, with the club’s all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero potentially leaving on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old, whose contract at St Mary’s expires in the summer of 2022, has been heavily linked with various clubs in recent months, with Tottenham reported to be among the interested parties.
According to The Athletic, as well as Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City are also considering a move for Ings should City decide not to renew their ten year association with Aguero.

Ings has scored seven goals in the Premier League so far this season for Saints. He has netted 40 goals in 86 games since joining the club in 2018.

Replacing Sergio aguero with Danny ings that’s so disrespectful

You do realise Ings was one of the top scorers in the league last season? He was literally in the running for the golden boot.

I’d honestly take Ings as backup if Sergio Goes. Haaland obv first choice.

If we sign danny ings this season I'll be happy but we need to get Haaland for 70 million next year

Hate to say it but Danny Ings would fit more in our system and finally someone who can scores pens as well 🤩 would preferably prefer Kane or Haaland

Hell no! We need to be signing the likes of Messi, Haaland, Harry Kane and Mbappé
