Manchester City have received a major injury boost on Monday as the club record scorer Sergio Agüero works his way back to full fitness.
The Argentine striker has seen injury and illness disrupt his season so far, restricting him to just 141 minutes of Premier League football this campaign.
The Manchester City’s record scorer has fully recovered now though, and trained on Monday with those who were also not involved in the 4-1 win away at Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Pep Guardiola had made clear that the 32-year-old striker cannot be rushed back into matchday squads after a period out of training.
However, getting back on the grass with his teammates is an important step in returning to full fitness.
The Argentine will provide a huge boost ahead of a big month of fixtures against the likes of Tottenham, Everton, Arsenal, and Manchester United in the next four weeks,
Whether he will be available the FA Cup fifth round game against Swansea remains to be seen. Nevertheless, Man City fans will be happy to see their key man back in training.
Here’s how Man City fans are reacting on Twitter to Agüero’s injury update.

I’f aguero comes back in time and doesn’t get injured again I’m sure with this defensive and attacking form we could acc win the CL this season

Come on Kun. We’re a great side even without him, but if he gets fit and even 80% back to his best, we’ll be at another level. Thinking about the UCL particularly. We can win the PL without him, but with Aguero back and scoring we could give anyone in Europe a game.
