Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix this summer.
City were interested in the Portuguese forward before he left Benfica to move to the Wanda Metropolitano in 2019 for 126 million Euros.
He has failed to reach top form in Madrid this season as his output has remained inconsistent, recording just two goals in his last 16 appearances with the La Liga leader.
According to Dean Jones BR via Eurosport UK, there is a growing temptation for the Cityzens to revive their interest for the 21-year-old Portugal international as they seek to replace Sergio Aguero in attack this summer.
The City legend is potentially leaving on a free transfer, with Barcelona, Inter Milan and even Juventus reportedly interested in signing the striker.
The report claims City ‘touched base’ for Joao Felix through third-party agents a year ago, to see how things were going and whether there was any chance of him becoming available.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, Many Skyblues as usual have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
If not Haaland then him

YES! Get in, the next Aguero

This is the player that I want @ManCity to spend money on. He fit us perfectly.

If we don’t get haaland then it won’t be too bad considering the amount of goals he scored in a defensive system

not really, it was more of Felix’s mistake. He should’ve known he wouldn’t make it under defensive coach like Simeone. He suits Pep perfectly
— Jann-Fiete Arp (@ArpJann) March 12, 2021
Tbh he is a better fit for Pep than Haaland but IMO Haaland is much easier to get than Felix would be

Depends if we got the false 9 route, with a year under his belt at City he would probably be the best in the world in that position excluding Messi.

I think some City fans need to realise there’s a fair chance we don’t get Haaland, and alternative options can still be great. Look at Dias. Haaland would be perfect obviously, but Felix is still really good. Remember the last forward we signed from Atleti? Worked OK.
