Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne turned down a move to the Etihad in the summer transfer window.
The Napoli captain, who has appeared in 21 matches this season in Serie A this season, has established himself as something of a legend at Napoli since arriving from Pescara in 2012.
According to Area Napoli as relayed by Sport Witness, City were keen on a move for the Napoli forward in the summer, with Pep Guardiola identifying the player as a reinforcement who would be ‘suitable’ for his team.
The report claims that the Cityzens made him a ‘rich offer’ to swap Italy for England, but the forward elected to remain in Naples despite a ‘luxurious villa’ and ‘many privileges’ offered to him.
The €48m-rated has scored a total of 11 goals so far this season, which places him at 8th in Serie A Top Scorers list.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man Sky Blues have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Lol even Arsenal won’t take him let alone City

Stop with this fake news, city were never interested in him. He has attitude issue and pep would not bother to take players who are not good enough with their personality and even berrada talked about how City looks at everything before getting a player

Has he got a contract renewal coming up?! No way is this true

That’s total bollocks. Firstly, City don’t sign over 25’s unless it’s messi. Secondly, he wouldn’t get near the first team and thirdly he doesn’t play our system.

I don’t believe it…. Usually we don’t sign 29 years old players still he is not that good to start in our 11 even top class players like mahrez haven’t a guaranteed spot in playing 11
