Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club may have to fork out a mind-blowing £600,000-a-week to land Erling Haaland in a package costing over £300m.
The Norwegian striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Etihad, is one of Europe’s hottest properties, and has been linked with moves to most of the ‘big six’ clubs.
According to the UK Sun, the Borussia Dortmund striker wants to become the highest-paid player in Premier League history this summer and will ask interested clubs to pay him £600,000 per week.
The report claims Haaland could cost a total of £300m over the duration of the striker’s contract, with Dortmund making up to £130 million in profit for the former FC Red Bull Salzburg, who they signed for just £20m less than 16 months ago.
Europe’s top clubs are expected to battle over the 20-year-old who has gone on to prove he is one of the deadliest strikers in world football, scoring 49 goals in 39 games for the Bundesliga side.
If City have to sign him, they will have to beat off competition from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus among others for his signature.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

This would be a very big mistake. Obscene amount of money. I miss the days when such a price would be for a player that is a champions league and world cup winner. At that price he would have to score 40 goals a season for the next 10 years.

I don’t think its true we pay him €600k per week. We pulled off for signing mbappe cause mbappe want €600k per week. Haaland will earn £300k – £400k max

600k a week, 2 weeks ago he was demanding 300k a week. He will not get 600k a week at city that will destroy our wage structure then u will have other players demanding more money and more money and more money then you end up like Barca.
