Manchester City supporters have been reacting on Twitter after details of a conversation between England manager Gareth Southgate and Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish emerged.
The Villa skipper Grealish was taking his seat for the game against Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions-elect, missing his ninth game because of a shin injury.
Grealish and Southgate were picked up on television cameras broadcasting the match chatting prior to kick-off.
According to James Nursey via Mirror, Grealish and Gareth Southgate praised City’s passing/performance in a half-time chat at Villa Park last night.
The report claims the pair were ‘really impressed’ and discussed the benefit of players seeing various different options for passes in seconds.
Reports over the course of the past week have suggested that the Villa midfielder has been attracting significant levels of interest from City ahead of a possible big-money move this coming summer.
The 25-year-old England international hasn’t just been one of the best players in England this season, but arguably one of the most impressive around Europe.
