Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is pressing for Harry Kane, after seeing the ‘difficulties’ that exist around moving for Erling Haaland this summer.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward is one of the names on City’s short list, along with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martínez, and even recently Southampton’s Danny Ings, as they seek to find a replacement for Sergio Aguero this summer.
The Times early this week reported that Man City will consider making a bid for Harry Kane if they are unable to sign Erling Haaland this summer, with Martínez another player they are also scouting extensively.
According to Jose Alvarez via Elchiringuitotv, the Cityzens are pressing for Harry Kane, after seeing the ‘difficulties’ that exist around moving for Erling Haaland, with the players father, Alf-Inge, and his agent Mino Raiola currently on a “tour” to get to know the potential buyers.
Kane has a proven record in the Premier League with 160 goals in 234 appearances since he made his league debut nine years ago.
After years of reports linking him with a move away, the rumors may well come true as Kane, who still has over three years left on his deal may actually leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Tottenham however are desperate to keep their academy graduate in North London, but they might grant him a departure if his £150m asking price is met.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, Many man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
Yes for Kane but not for more than £90m. He is 28 soon and for me not worth more than that. Spurs need money as well..

I would rather keep aguero than sign kane

No no no. It has to be Haaland, or it's disrespect to Aguero to not renew his contract. Kane doesn't keep Aguero out the team, he's not quicker or a better finisher or much younger, neither do we need him for build up play. Only Haaland is good enough @ManCity

still a very good option, scores a lot of goals and that’s what we need, if not haaland then who else ya want then? Imo Kane is the 2nd best option

Relax. You all complained about Ruben Dias, just be patient with whoever we end up with

Take Kane tomorow, clinical, prem proven and fits the bill

He's the most suit our style of play and the best candidates for our teams if we don't get haaland. Just sign him and promote delap for next 3-4 years more. Delap is gonna be our haaland

If we can't get Haaland now, Kane will be a nice choice for us for the next 5 years cause he doesn't look like quitting at all right now or even the next 5 years. But we gotta exchange all options surrounding Haaland then we can splash it on Kane if it doesn't go as planned

Sorry but what did Txiki actually expect? A free run at the hottest prospect on the planet? No chance, I think they’re getting the Harry Kane ball rolling in case we somehow miss out on Haaland like what happened when the Koulibaly and Kounde deals fell through so we got Dias
