‘Wouldn’t mind taking him’ – Fans reacts as Man City ‘shown most interest’ in signing defender at the request of Guardiola

Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report of the club’s interest in Atletico Madrid left-back Renan Lodi.

The 23-year-old is already one of the mainstays at the Wanda Metropolitano and a prospect on the left-flank, But he has failed to nail down a regular spot in Diego Simeone’s starting lineup this term.

Lodi is reportedly considering a move away from the Colchoneros, for whom he has started just eleven times in all competitions this season.

According to La Razón as relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City have ‘shown the most interest’ in Renan Lodi due to Pep Guardiola’s request.

The report claims Atletico Madrid would be willing to let him leave, but would demand a fee ‘high enough’ to sign Grimaldo , and Man City ‘could make an offer’.

Lodi’s pace and dribbling abilities make him an ideal wing-back in Pep Guardiola system, making him a viable replacement for Benjamin Mendy.

Grimaldo played for a couple of seasons with Ruben. They both understand each other very well. another good option is nuno mendes because of his age and potential
