Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Kylian Mbappe did not train with the rest of the squad on Sunday, just two days for the Champions League semi-final second leg game at Manchester City this week.
The 22 year old Frenchman did not play in Saturday’s Ligue 1 game against Lens due to a calf injury. He had a quiet evening in the first game in Paris, with City taking a 2-1 lead back to the Etihad on Tuesday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will travel to Manchester for Tuesday’s second leg.
According to French news outlet L’Equipe, Kylian Mbappe did not take part in training on Sunday, on the eve of the squad’s departure for Manchester on Monday morning.
The report adds that at the moment, it is impossible to say whether his absence is ‘hiding something serious’ or whether it is only a precaution taken by club staff.
Mbappe will be a major loss for the Parisians if he is unavailable for the game against City – with his presence being crucial to their aim of winning the biggest accolade in European club football for the first time in their history.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
