Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is considering a move for West Ham United defensive midfielder Declan Rice during the upcoming summer transfer window as Fernandinho’s replacement.
The 22-year-old has become one of the best defensive-minded midfielders in the Premier League in the last 18 months, leading to speculation that both Chelsea and Manchester United could look to swoop.
The Cityzens have been linked with a number of midfielders this summer, and with Fernandinho looking like leaving the Etihad at the end of the season, they do need reinforcements in that area.
According to Pol Ballus and Paul Hirst of the Times, Manchester City will consider making a bid for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice if current club captain Fernandinho decide to move on upon the end of his current contract.
The report claims that City are willing to offer Fernandinho a 12-month extension. The 36 year-old Brazilian is now just a few weeks from the expiry of his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Great player. But no need for him, we already have Rodri. Invest resources In other areas like the attack. And midfielder to replace gundogan soon.

Douglas Luiz would be better, I even think Rice better, but the Brazilian does not leave anything to be desired and would also be more economical.

We have Rodri and Lavia is an amazing talent. Keep Dinho for another season and let Lavia develop

Good player but I think we need a more agile DM option, and he’d be very expensive in a summer we need to replace Aguero
