‘Would be a great signing’ – Man City fans reacts to the clubs interest in £40m-rated ‘perfect Fernandinho replacement’

Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola is plotting a £30m swoop for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The 24-year-old mildfielder, who joined Brighton for £15m from Lille in 2018, has been a standout performer in a struggling premier league side this season and has attracted interest of a host of England’s biggest clubs.

The Cityzens have been linked with a number of midfielders this summer, and with Fernandinho looking like leaving the Etihad at the end of the season, they do need reinforcements in that area.

Declan Rice is another deep-lying midfielder recently reportedly on City’s radar although his valuation which David Moyes suggested should be near £100million may put them out of the reckoning.

According to Daily star, Man City are plotting a £30M move for the Brighton midfielder this summer, having backed out of a potential bidding war for West Ham’s Declan Rice.

The report claims Pep Guardiola is ‘confident’ of winning the race to land Bissouma, having watched him on ‘several occasions’ this season.

With the south coast outfit valuing the Mali international at £40m, he represents a more realistic option discussed by City’s management team.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
