Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have made Jack Grealish their No1 midfield target and are prepared to smash the British transfer record for the Aston Villa star.
The Villa skipper is one of the players Manchester City are considering buying this summer as they aim to defend the Premier League title and also impress again in Europe next season.
Reports over the course of the past month have suggested that the Aston Villa midfielder has been attracting significant levels of interest from City ahead of a possible big-money move this coming summer.
Tele Football early this week reported that Pep Guardiola regards Grealish as one of the best players in the premier leaque and he is one of the players Manchester City are considering this summer.
According to Matt Hughes of Daily Mail, the premier champions have made Jack Grealish their number one midfield target this summer and are prepared to make the Aston Villa star English football’s first £100M player.
The report adds that it’s unclear at this stage whether Man City would pursue a straight cash negotiation for Jack Grealish, or there would be scope for players who have struggled for game time this season to be included in the deal.
The 25-year-old scored six goals and assisted 10 others in 26 top-flight games this term, and Villa only won three of the 12 games he missed, losing six.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Wtf, we should be going all out like this for Kane

There’s no way we go 100m+ on a luxury player, I know Txiki and his ways
— Dani (@Rodridiculous) May 27, 2021
We don’t need a midfielder, not that urgently to pay 100M at least.

Because it’s not happening lmao. City not paying no 100M for Jack. They focusing on Kane. Anything else is just gravy. But I’m cool with just Kane

Get him into the squad. I am sure foden can play as a striker in the false 9 role putting grealish on the wing. We can get by another season without having a striker like Liverpool having our goals come from our wingers and midfielders. Grealish is a special special player

(Obviously won’t be £100 million, I’d say £70 million!)

Fantastic player but please don’t happen. Not for £100m anyway. We should pay £60m maximum as Kane should be our number 1 target
