Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is ready to Consider recruiting in the left-back position if Benjamin Mendy leaves.
The 26-year-old was signed from AS Monaco in 2017 to be City’s first-choice left-back, but unfortunately for him, things have been completely downhill despite an electric start to life under Pep Guardiola.
A number of injury problems have prevented him from ever establishing himself as a regular under Guardiola.
The Frenchman is struggling for game time this season over the impressive Joao Cancelo and rejuvenated Oleksandr Zinchenko, starting just eleven Premier League games so far .
According to the Daily Telegraph, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola would consider signing a new left-back in the upcoming transfer window if the Citizens can offload Benjamin Mendy.
The Cityzens have been linked with the likes of Nuno Mendes, Robin Gosens, Nicolas Tagliafico and David Alaba over the past months as their search for a proper left-back continues.
It remains to be seen whether Pep Guardiola’s side will end up adding a new left-back to their ranks before they start their title defence.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, Many man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
