Manchester City fans on Twitter have been responding to another update from football journalist Fabrizio Romano concerning the club’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The Tottenham striker’s future remains uncertain with many clubs interested in securing his signature this summer.
City have been heavily linked with a move for the Spurs striker, with Pep Guardiola reportedly making the England International his No.1 summer transfer priority.
Man City are rumoured to be one of the frontrunners for Kane’s signature, and the Premier League champions are thought to be readying a £100m take-it-or-leave-it offer for the England captain.
But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to part ways with Kane this summer and has slapped a staggering £150m price tag on the marksman’s head to fend off potential suitors.
In keeping with negotiations, City are also said to have offered players alongside the fee quoted for the 27-year-old goal machine. Thus prompting a swift rebuttal from his current employers, which Romano documented in his latest Here We Go podcast as relayed by City xtra .
Fabrizio Romano clarified that it is “100% Confirmed” that Manchester City made an official bid to Tottenham for Harry Kane this week, the overall value of the bid was £100 million, and also offered player/s as part of the fee, and not in addition.
Romano further stated that Tottenham still remains on their stance of keeping Harry Kane beyond the summer transfer window.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

£100m for Harry Kane is RIDICULOUS 😭

Look how many clubs are waiting in line to pay that amount for his signature.
Absolutely ridiculous.
I hope it's going to end like Koulibaly's saga too (we got a better player).

I am 100% sure that https://t.co/nvyBfDHiE0 won't buy either Kane or Haaland. Our next striker transfer will be like Dias own, no team will bid for him.
