City have been heavily linked with a move for the Dortmund’s striker, who has been in jaw-dropping form this season, scoring 39 goals in all competitions.
As well as City, the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea are also interested in the 20-year-old.
A new striker has been on the agenda for the club for a long time and City are expected to go into the next transfer markets ready to spend big on a striker, with Erling Haaland said to be the number one target for Guardiola this summer – a move which would almost certainly break the transfer record for the English club.
According to Football Journalist Ekrem KONUR, the premier champions are set to make an offer of around €110M for Haaland, and there is a race between Manchester City and Chelsea for his signature.
Considering Haaland’s value is already close to £100m, which will only go up if he has another fine season, his release clause will come into effect next year, which means he can leave for £68m.
It will be interesting to see what Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke decides to do with his future but it might be in their best interest to sell up this summer.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
If that’s the initial offer, he’s coming to City.— Ngozulu 📿 🇩🇴 (@ngozulumatondo) June 12, 2021
We need to get him because he’s a young worldclass player and he can stay at Manchester City football club for a long time— haider.A (@haiderA76938615) June 12, 2021
If this is true I think city would’ve also put a €110 million bid for Kane to see what both Dortmund and Spurs would take. We won’t get both if that wasn’t obvious— 🇧🇼 (@King_KDB_) June 12, 2021
Maybe trying to say we’re not interested in haaland when we are but we’re probs going for both just in case— mackenzie (@MxckenzieMCFC) June 12, 2021
We made offers for Kane and Halaand— 🏆 (@mcfcxeno) June 12, 2021

Bvb want £150 million and we’re offering 110 euros. There’s no way they would accept it even if it was true which i highly doubt— 💙⚽️ Always (@QJweRfWQ4YzvJ8R) June 12, 2021
