Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Sergio Ramos will not be coming to the Etihad this summer.
The 35-year-old’s contract situation at the Bernabeu remains unresolved, meaning that as it stands he has played his final game for the club and will become a free agent next month.
With Aymeric Laporte indicating he was not happy at being third choice centre back, and Nathan Ake also believed to be considering his future, there was a chance City could be in the market for a centre back
ESPN earlier this week reported that Pep Guardiola is a keen admirer of Ramos’s leadership and experience, and the club are willing to offer the defender a two-year deal this summer.
But according to information from Jonathan Smith of Goal, despite the ongoing contract stand-off between Real Madrid and Sergio Ramos, the centre-back will not be joining Manchester City in the coming months.
Given the support and cover that Pep Guardiola has at his disposal in the centre-back position, it comes as no surprise to understand the Premier League champions’ stance on the situation.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Why do we even think of Ramos when we have the best defense in the world

We should play Ake at LB in big games along side Laporte & Dias that would be two left footed players who are good in defending, would make our team more solid, Zinchenko can play in other games, that way we keep both Ake & Laporte.
