‘large cash only’, ‘not swap deal’ – Man City fans reacts as Barcelona made ‘informal proposal’ to Bernardo Silva

A lot of Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports that claims Barcelona have made an ‘informal proposal’ to Bernardo Silva.

The former Monaco man has emerged as one of the players who could be on his way out of Manchester City this summer as they look to freshen up their squad.

The Portuguese scored five goals and laid on nine assists as City reclaimed the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final in 2020-21.

Bernardo Silva has been a regular at Manchester City and an important player for Pep Guardiola, but Sam Lee of The Athletic says the 26-year-old ‘would like to leave’ this summer.

According to Duncan Castles, the La Liga giant have made an ‘informal proposal’ to Bernardo Silva, and now have to satisfy City’s valuation.

In an ideal world, Manchester City would get a ‘large cash offer’ from Barcelona or Atletico, and use it in their pursuit of Jack Grealish and a new striker, the report adds.

The report claims Barcelona are offering the Cityzens a huge array of players as part of ‘FFP swap’ deals, including Sergi Roberto, Ousmane Dembele, Jordi Alba, Coutinho, Clément Lenglet, Trincão, Sergio Busquets, and Gerard Piqué.
