Reported Manchester City target Romelu Lukaku has confirmed that he will stay with Inter Milan next season.
The Cityzens were said to be considering a move for the Belgium international, a most realistic chance of signing a world-class attacker this summer as they know Tottenham are unlikely to deal with them over Kane and Borussia Dortmund are asking Haaland to give them one more season.
Lukaku will not be heading to the Etihad after the former Manchester United star proclaimed he will be staying with Inter, and that he is happy with the team.
Speaking on Belgian TV station VTM via HLN, the 28-year-old striker revealed he will be staying with the Serie A champions despite rumours of an exit.
“Yes, I am staying,’ the Belgian international said when asked if he will be an Inter player next season.
“I’ve already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet, but it was a very positive conversation.
“There’s also the challenge of [winning] it again. I feel good at Inter.”
The former Chelsea and Manchester united striker scored 24 goals and set up 11 more in 36 Serie A appearances in 2020-21 to help fire the Nerazzurri to their first Scudetto triumph in 11 years.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter by City City, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

I am a cityzen, but this is good news to me, so let's concentrate on wooing Harry Kane.
