Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports that claims Serie A side AS Roma could soon make an attempt to sign Nathan Aké this summer.
Ake, who signed for Man City from Bournemouth last summer, has had somewhat of a rough ride since he was injured back on boxing day in our 2-0 against Newcastle.
Things haven’t gone as planned for the Dutchman at the Etihad Stadium 12 months after signing the Dutchman from now Championship side Bournemouth.
Due to the form of Ruben Dias and John Stones, he made just 10 Premier League appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side and featured just 13 times in all competitions for the club.
The Dutchman has been on Roma’s radar in the ongoing transfer window as one of the players José Mourinho ‘likes’ for the centre-back role.
According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport via inside futbol, the Serie A giants are considering signing him on a loan deal with an option to buy him on a permanent deal next year.
With the Premier League champions spending that much on the signing, it looks unlikely they’d loan him out after just one season.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

If Laporte 🇪🇸 leaves and now Aké 🇳🇱 as well….I can see City (Pep) doing big bussines again to sign defenders. Should be Pau Torres 🇪🇸 there 100% and why not, Koundé 🇫🇷 as well. Expensive both players? Yes of course but for me two of the best defenders in Europe actually
