Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Taylor Harwood-Bellis is on verge of joining Anderlecht on loan.
The 19-year-old has been given the green light for a new season-long loan after spending last season at Blackburn Rovers.
The Belgian giants have a solid relationship with Manchester City and had Lukas Nmecha on loan last season from the Premier League champions.
Nmecha has confirmed that he will not extend his stay in Belgium, but Anderlecht are on the lookout for another young talent from Manchester City.
Taylor Harwood-Bellis has been rumored to have been a special request from Anderlecht manager Vincent Kompany to shore up his squads defense.
The defender, who is under contract at the Etihad until 2024, is to sign for Anderlecht, with the Manchester Evening News reporting that Harwood-Bellis flew to Belgium on Monday morning for medical.
Manchester City like the idea that Taylor Harwood-Bellis will learn from Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht, in terms of football, leadership, and personal conduct. When Harwood-Bellis heard that Kompany wanted him, it was ‘too good to refuse’, the report adds.
While final paperwork is still to be completed, he is expected to be announced as an Anderlecht player in the coming hours.
The news was shared on Twitter by City_Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts, with one fan simply branding it as ‘disrespect’.

He really can’t do better then getting trained by the best ever defender our club has seen

That’ll be a really good move for him. I know City fans generally see loan moves as a “this guy has no chance” situation, but hopefully linking up with Vinnie is a sign he has a big future for us.
