Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is willing to offer up five players to Tottenham as potential makeweights in a deal for Harry Kane.
The Tottenham striker’s future remains uncertain with many clubs interested in securing his signature this summer.
City have been heavily linked with a move for the Spurs striker, with Pep Guardiola reportedly making the England International his No.1 summer transfer priority.
Man City are rumoured to be one of the frontrunners for Kane’s signature, and the Premier League champions are thought to be readying a £100m take-it-or-leave-it offer for the England captain.
But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to part ways with Kane this summer and has slapped a staggering £150m price tag on the marksman’s head to fend off potential suitors.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Monday claims a fee of £100million could surface, with one or even two players included in the deal.
Now, the Athletic claim five players are on the table – not only Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus, but also Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva. However, Spurs have turned the offers down.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
What a joke. I’m really disappointed

This is pathetic

What a joke. He’s not even all that good. Puts city in a bad place if you ask me.

I'm having a hard time believing any of the stories about Kane. So many ITK journos with conflicting stories. Bid, no bid, cash, cash + players, 100m, 150, Levy will sell for right price, Levy will never sell. It's all just made up bollocks for clicks if you ask me.

Kane is good but he is not worth 100 million plus any player from city

This players all give numbers also.

Are we serious at all?
Sorry but this is just not realistic. There's possibly a crumb of truth at the heart of this but the other 99% is simply not true.
