A lot of Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club will make Jack Grealish a ‘top priority’ if Bernardo Silva leaves the club this summer.
The Villa skipper is one of the players City are considering buying this summer as they aim to defend the Premier League title and also impress again in Europe next season.
The Englishman contributed six goals and 10 assists in 26 Premier League games for Villa last season and is set to be a key player for England at the European Championships this summer.
Reports over the course of the past month have suggested that the Villa midfielder has been attracting significant levels of interest from City ahead of a possible big-money move this coming summer.
According to France Football, the Premier League champions will turn to Grealish if Bernardo Silva leaves the club in this summer’s transfer window.
Silva is being targeted by Atletico Madrid, who are keen on signing him this summer. Diego Simeone is thought to be an admirer of the midfielder, whom he sought in 2016.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Is this the media trying to push Bernardo or he wants to leave..dnt get this at all

Why would we downgrade. It’s like selling KDB to buy Fred.

@Mancity should do everything possible to keep Bernardo Silva.he is super player, but Guardiola isn't managing him well

If anyone is suggesting Grealish replaces what Bernardo brings, they're absolutely insane! They're both class players. I'd take both but it's insanity to even think about getting rid of Silva.

Grealish is a great player but will not be able to put in even 50% of work rate that Bernardo puts in for our team. Selling Bernardo will be the biggest mistake this club would make.

No selling Bernardo would be a massive mistake
