Some Manchester City fans would rather want the club to sign Romelu Lukaku ahead of Harry Kane this summer.
The Citizens, who are in the market for a new striker this summer, have been linked with the the Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur‘s striker as the club seek for replacement for the club’s all-time leading goal scorer Sergio Aguero.
The premier league champions were said to be considering a move for the Belgium international, a most realistic chance of signing a world-class attacker this summer as they know Tottenham are unlikely to deal with them over Kane.
City appear to be upping the ante in their bid to sign the Tottenham striker, with reports claiming City could offer £100million plus a player like Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus for him.
Kane hasn’t displayed his talents at Euro 2020 yet having failed to find the net during England’s first two matches of the tournament.
In contrast, Lukaku has started on fire, scoring three goals in three group matches and some Manchester City fans cited the partnership he has with Belgian teammate Kevin De Bruyne as a reason why it could be a very exciting signing.
Here’s what some Man City fans on Twitter had to say about signing Lukaku:

We are making a huge mistake fighting for Kane and not being interested in Lukaku

The €100m-rated Serie A striker has plenty of Premier League experience, having previously played at Manchester United, Everton, Chelsea and West Brom.
You look at the link between Lukaku and De Bruyne with the Belgium team and literally 90 per cent of the answers were Lukaku. They’ve got that chemistry… there’s an appreciation for each other. They’ve been on the same kind of journey.
