Manchester City fans have been reacting to claims the club will look to offload Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez as they close in on Jack Grealish.
The Aston Villa star is poised to move to the Etihad Stadium in a massive £100million transfer deal. And that would make him the costliest recruit in British football history.
Any deal for Grealish could also point to the departure of at least one member of Guardiola’s squad, with the futures of Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling uncertain this summer.
According to Daily Mail via Express Sport, the premier league champions will look to offload Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez as they close in on the 25-year-old.
Sterling has endured a difficult campaign, falling out of favour under Guardiola as City won the Premier League and reached the Champions League final.
Mahrez, on the other hand, has upped his game this season, producing big moments in big games, but there is a recognition that the squad will have to be trimmed to pull the Grealish deal off, and the Algerian could be sacrificed.
Arsenal are reportedly to have expressed an interest in both players, but there are doubts as to whether the Gunners will have the funds to complete a double swoop.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Many man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
Am I the only one who thinks this would be terrible business in City’s part?

That would be foolish.

Both should stay, hopefully they do

Mahrez definitely shouldn't go, neither should Sterling, the only issue with Sterling staying is negotiating a new salary.

Defo sell 1 of them but both is a bit far
