Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on twitter, which relayed a report that claims the club and Hellas Verona are in ‘advanced talks’ for Ivan Ilić.
The young midfielder has been impressing in Serie A since joining the club on loan last summer, and has broken into the starting line-up at Hellas Verona.
After a decent spell at Dutch side NAC Breda, in which he scored four in 24 from midfield, Ivan Ilic has been followed by a good spell in Italy, making 29 league appearances for a team that finished 10th in Serie A.
Hellas Verona are keen on signing the midfielder on a permanent basis after the 23-year-old impressed last season on loan.
According to Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano, the premier leaque champions and the Italian club are in ‘advanced talks’ for the 20-year-old Serbian international.
The Journalist claims the midfielder is close to re-joining Verona on a permanent deal for a fee of around €8M.
